From brief to shortlist
How a challenge works
From you: a brief, a kickoff call, and a few checkpoint hours. From us: everything else.

What your team commits
- Before
- One business problem and a call to shape the brief.
- Week 1
- A welcome to the cohort, live or recorded. Thirty minutes.
- Weeks 2 and 3
- Optional checkpoints and one round of questions from teams.
- Week 4
- Closing presentations and a seat on the panel. Two to three hours.
- After
- Interviews with the top performers, on your schedule.
What Future Bench handles
- Design
- Your brief becomes a four-week program built around the capabilities you hire for.
- Reach
- Opening the challenge at the colleges you choose, through their placement teams.
- Operations
- Applications, team formation, mentors, schedules, and tooling.
- Evaluation
- Mentor and peer assessment on five capabilities, recorded on each Track Record.
- Reporting
- Shortlist, skill data, solution work, and the monthly Standing Report for Always-On programs.
Keeping it running
Leave the challenge open and it becomes your standing presence on campus.
Any student at any college in your reach can attempt it, any time. The brief refreshes each term with new problems from your business. Strong work earns the interview.
You choose the reach: one city, several regions, or across countries. We start with a named set of colleges and add more each term. Their placement teams run preparation workshops and promote it to their students. You visit nowhere.
Strong performers too early to hire stay on your bench, with a new challenge each term and light contact from your team. By graduation you have two years of verified performance on them.
Competitions and workshops feed the program
Competitions let thousands attempt your challenge in a short, ranked format and earn a fast track into the four-week program.
Workshops are how placement teams prepare their students.
The interview is earned only in the four-week program, because only four weeks shows consistency.
AI during the challenge
Students use AI, as your employees do.
We evaluate what AI cannot supply: consistency over four weeks, collaboration seen by teammates, response to feedback, and judgment in how tools are used.

Confidentiality. The challenge runs on a sanitised brief. Confidentiality and ownership of all work product are covered in a standard agreement before anything begins.
Bring a challenge. Watch real work within a month.
One email starts it. We scope the challenge with you in one call and run everything from there. Your name is on the challenge; your hiring plans stay private.
